Developed by IFC (a member of the World Bank Group) and GBCI (Green Building Certification Institute), EDGE offers a simplified approach to green building ratings, making green buildings more accessible to all. EDGE focuses solely on energy, water, and materials, providing a straightforward, free-to-use software calculation methodology. To qualify for EDGE certification, project owners must demonstrate a 20% savings in energy, water, and materials. Certification from GBCI requires the involvement of an EDGE Auditor.
